Surrealism Saturday
This morning I had the urge to distract myself from over thinking and living with realising my chronic injuries feels like they have got worse.
I didn't know what to paint which is in itself an obvious bug bear for any artist.
So, I wanted to be in the moment and just go with the flow and see where it takes me!
Once the paint hits the canvas, the vibrancy of the colours seems to satisfy my creative urges and dampen down my frustrations to som3 degree. There is also something to be said about letting the hand just go for it. My understanding this is a form of autominism like being on auto-pilot. Surrealist painters adopted this style and process which has brought to the attention of the massess by Andrè Breton in his Surrealist Manifesto.
Going back to my art, this has been fun just seeing where this takes me and exploring the process with vibrant colours. Try the process yourselves and explore the unknown!
