My first ever art show in person and as 'The Painless Artist' at the Bodham Art Show, North Norfolk. We are pleased of how well the artwork was received by the local audience in Bodham, Holt and fellow contributing artists alike. What stood was the reaction and laughter the 'Swoop & Scoop For A 99' image brought for young and old!




Members of the public were intrigued about 'The Painless Artist' name and how it came about, in which I explained my personal story of cauda equina syndrome and expressing my creative and psychology through predominantly surrealist principles. The artwork has been an opportunity to strike interest, intrigue and shine a light on spinal injury through the visual medium with Cauda Equina Champions Charity 1187294 #CES awareness leaflets at hand for everyone to read. Also the local social media awareness of my work and mentioning CES has helped one person as they approached myself and was showing signs and symptoms of cauda equina syndrome and had taken CES literature and signposted himself to seek medical attention due to his increased symptoms!! This shows you the power of awareness of spinal injury and the long-term impact effects through art.

The audience was diverse and we even had a visit from physiotherapist, art therapist, art collector, art lovers, tourists and fellow artists.



I'm grateful to my family & friends who have helped make this happen, especially with all the logistics as my disabilities make it challenging for me to complete. Evening sitting for longer periods of time cause further pain, fatigue and sadly my neck issues has progressed and waiting for medical interventions to help ease the symptoms.

The prominent feature will be in the 'How I Paint' section and will showcase a range of work and my background story.
